I bought a kodac m863 digital camera and?

Q) I want to put some piccies on face book so I plugged the camera into the computer and it just kept saying it couldn't detect the device. I then removed the memory card and inserted that into the computer and got my pictures up that way, is that how I should have done it in the first place because it has come with a usb lead so I can't understand why it wouldnt work from the camera. Also the pictures come up as icons that I can't see which photo is which, I would have to either take a note of which jpeg number is which photo or just click through each one and open it, how do I get all my pictures up so I can view them as a whole without having to open each icon. also i installed all the necessary software. I went to hardware, camera and scanners and it didn't detect my camera. they are thumbs but each image is just a pretty little boat out at sea...

A) On your top toolbar go to views, then change it from 'list' to 'thumbs'. Re your camera, did it come with an installation cd?

New Digital Camera? Kodac? Rechargable Batteries? Dock?

Q) Today I purchased a kodac Z812IS digital camera. I also bought the dock which the woman at best buy told me this camera was compatible with. In the dock kit was a rechargable battery that i assumed would be made for this camera so you could replace the non rechargable one the camera came with. After all i bought the dock kit figuring i wouldn't have to keep buying new batteries and i could conveniently charge it. However when i got home the batteries did not fit my camera. Why is this? What batteries can i buy that will allow me to recharge my camera with the dock. Will any rechargable battery work or will that mess up my camera?

A) Just to make sure, did she give the Kodak Easyshare Camera Dock Series 3? (Link 1) That is the dock that is compatible with your camera, so if you received a different one, return it immediately...you could potentially mess up the batteries in your camera or even fry it if you plug it into the wrong dock for an extended period of time. Your camera uses the KLIC-8000 Li-Ion battery per the specs in Link 2. Battery is available via Link 3. In the event your battery is not compatible with the dock, you have to use the K7500 or K7600 charger to charge it (Link 4)

can u upload pics from a kodac digital camera to ur computer if u don't have ur plug or cord?

A) yes, go to your local wal*mart, radio shack, k-mart, or a store that has them, they are about 2 inches long or smaller, it is a card reader, you put your card in it and then plug it in to your USB port. they are around $8 - $10. but when you get them on the computer, they will not go into the Kodak soft ware. but you can still get them on your computer. :] have a great day.

Q) how do you replace a lens in this camer?

A) If you are talking about the main picture-taking lens, it would be pretty expensive to replace the whole lens. Kodak usually only sells the entire lens as one assembly, not as individual parts. Depending upon the exact problem your camera has, it is probably repairable without replacing the whole lens. You might check with a local camera repair shop to get a quote. i lost my kodac easyshare software cd that came with the digital camera! help!!?

Q) hi i lost my kodac easyshare software that originally came in the box. is there any way i can still transfer my photos onto the computer without the software? like can i download the program from the internet???
